Amy Joy Smith, N.P.

Amy joins Hill Park as the women’s health care practitioner and the nutrition specialist. She is also the anchor for the new and revised Fresh Start weight loss program.

Amy has nearly three decades of experience in women’s health care and nutrition. She received her BS in Nursing at Syracuse University, her Nurse Practitioner certificate at San Jose State, and her Masters in Nursing and Public Health at the University of Minnesota. She first trained in the field of nutritional and “orthomolecular” medicine in the early 1980′s.

Amy is an integrative clinician, blending the best of western medical science with leading-edge nutrition and anti-aging research to provide robust, informative wellness programs for her patients. She provides the full spectrum of women’s health care services including well-woman exams, pap smears, breast exams and contraception, in addition to testing for and treating infections, hormone imbalances and menstrual irregularities. Her consults are rich with information on natural approaches as well as options for medications.

Nutritionally, Amy provides advice and assistance with diet and supplements, oral chelation therapy, bioidentical and natural hormone therapy. She uses affordable blood chemistry analysis to understand the health and stress of each gland and organ system. In this way Amy eliminates any confusion or guesswork. She honors the metabolic uniqueness of each person and knows that everyone’s path back to wellness and wholeness is very personal and sacred.
