Robert Gitlin, D.O.
Dr. Robert Gitlin is board certified in Family Medicine with Fellowship Training in Osteopathic Manipulative Medicine (OMM). He completed Fellowship training with the International Lyme and Associated Diseases Society (ILADS). Additionally, he trained at the Mederi Centre with Donnie Yance, Master Herbalist. Over the past decade, much of his practice has involved treating patients with Lyme and chronic illnesses, utilizing a full array of both integrative and functional medicine.
He maintains staff privileges at Ukiah Valley Medical Center (UVMC) and Howard Memorial Hospital (HMH), where he worked in the Emergency Department and actively admitted patients for sixteen of the past twenty years. He was Chief of Staff and Chairman of the Patient Safety Committee at HMH. He is also an adjunct clinical teaching faculty member at Touro University and Western University in Pomona, at the Redwood Valley Medical Clinic (founded in 1998 by he and his wife). Recently, he joined Hill Park Medical Integrative Medical Center as well.
He has published articles about Osteopathy and Lyme disease in the Townsend Letter. His additional areas of specialty and interest include post-traumatic seizures, headaches, hormonal disorders utilizing bio-identical HRT, complex illness, post-concussive syndrome, immune dysfunction, gastrointestinal disorders, integrative oncology and men’s health. Dr. Gitlin’s compassion and perseverance provide hope for his patients as they embark on their individual healing journey.
